Yearning for an adventure? Explore the backcountry by kayak, camping in remote locations and seeing sights you couldn't otherwise see. Let us take care of the logistics; book early to ensure the dates you want are available. On our kayak camping trips, we load all of our overnight equipment into sea kayaks and set off. These trips are a great opportunity to learn new skills, both on the water and on land, and reconnect with nature. Custom trips for small groups are available! It's recommended that you book early as campsite reservations fill up fast. Get in touch and let us know what you're thinking and we can put together a trip to fit your needs.
One public group trip is also available, June 2nd - 4th in Oscoda, Michigan.

Sample Public Trip Itinerary
Day 1
Meet at the boat launch at 10:00 AM and meet your group. You'll get introduced to your kayak and get into your paddling gear after loading your camping equipment into your boat. You'll have the opportunity to learn correct paddle strokes as we head toward the campsite a few miles away. After dinner, we'll enjoy a peaceful evening around a campfire.
Day 2
After a relaxed morning and a tasty breakfast, we'll have the option to explore the area in our kayaks. There is a lot of natural beauty nearby, and if we're lucky, we'll spot wildlife.
Day 3
We'll have options this day, and might choose to pack up and move to a different camp over five miles away, or we might leave our tents set up and day hike. Either way, there will fantastic scenery and the potential for spotting wildlife.
How to Register:
Registration: the cost to join the public trip is $539 with full gear rental; Returning guests get a discount. After payment you will receive an email with important details and a registration form.
Cancellation policy: up to 30 days prior to the event, a full refund of all fees will be given. After that time period your reservation is considered final. Custom trips are non-refundable. The trip will be able to happen in most weather, but if the trip leaders determine it to be unsafe a full refund will be given.

Lisa is an experienced outdoor guide, dedicated hiker, and certified Wilderness First Responder. She is passionate about the healing power of the natural world, and has lived and worked in the outdoors in Wisconsin, California, Mexico, and New Zealand. Her expedition experience includes a six-hundred mile kayaking trip down the West Coast of California and Baja. She believes that challenging the body in the outdoors leads to emotional and mental growth, and is excited to facilitate this adventure!
